European tech staffing provider, MA has achieved the new platinum rating in the EcoVadis CSR ratings, putting the company in the top 1% of its sector.

  • Awarded 77% overall in EcoVadis’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ratings
  • 80% score in environment, labour and human rights, and ethics
  • Achieved advanced performance in 3 of 4 categories

Having received ‘gold’ status in 2019, the platinum rating for 2020 recognises the ongoing commitment MA has in continuously improving its sustainability across all business areas.

EcoVadis’ sustainability analysts assess the quality of a company’s sustainability management systems through its policies, actions and results based on international standards such as the Global Reporting Index (GRI), ISO 26000 and the guiding principles of the Global Compact. The assessment looks at four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. (What is the EcoVadis Assessment process, 2021)

To date, EcoVadis has rated over 50,000 trading partners worldwide, mitigating risk for some of the world’s largest organisations, while positively impacting the environments, fostering transparency and driving innovation. (What is EcoVadis, 2021)

MA sets the standard on its measures to reduce CO2 emissions, energy consumption and waste with an ‘exceptional policy’ on commitments and objectives on major environmental issues.

MA’s strengths include its measures to promote gender and minority inclusion in the workplace and putting mental & physical wellbeing at the forefront with a six-month well-being programme that focuses attention on different aspects of well-being; Mental Health, Nutrition, Passion & Purpose, Sleep, Financial Well-being and Physical Well-being.

And with its Parental leave policy; providing primary carers (Mother, Father or Primary Adopter) 16 weeks paid parental leave at 100% of their salary, MA is leading the way in the recruitment industry in allowing parents greater access to paid leave whilst addressing key issues such as the gender pay gap, equal rights for adopting parents and encouraging fathers to take extended leave.

With a regular supplier assessment also in place, MA strives to reflect the EcoVadis assessment of its supply chain to further support sustainability objectives and commitments.
